Also, when one of our group members was ready to checkout, she stood in line for several minutes while the two girls working were talking to one another. The back employees working the wine area were much more courteous. Not very friendly, and I finally greeted them because nobody did for our group of five. It seems like the employees are awkward in welcoming visitors.

You might want to rethink your location to be dog friendly since that is what you claim to be about.
